What is the future of Skilled Trades in Canada?

Posted by admin

Where will Canadian skilled trade workers be needed in the near future? How will they impact the Canadian economy?
(I would appreciate it if resources were supplied)

ha I have been an apprentice electrician for the past year and still haven’t gotten a job out of it.. for the most part I believe its because I am a woman. what man wants a woman on their work-site. I am just as much qualified as any other apprentice they are going to hire if not more. I really think I wasted my time and 13,000 when I decided to become an electrician.

i need help on a research paper !!!!?

Posted by admin

i have this paper due on drivers ed and i have no idea how to get started on this , i am going to copy and paste the instructions for the paper below , if you guys could help in any way possible that would be great :)

Your Aunt Crazy has just hit the lottery and has decided to give you money to purchase a car.  She has decided to give you $500.00 a month towards your purchase.  This money needs to be used to purchase a car and pay for insurance (“Your Fault” is not an insurance company).  You now have the opportunity to buy any car that will fit into your budget.  Before you begin, you are asked to trade in any car in your family to help with your finances.  Enjoy the shopping experience!!

Task
Your cover will consist of a title.  You may use any title you wish.  This page must also include your name, class period and date.  Be creative and design a cover that is colorful and interesting.
Your second page will be the specifics of your new car.  This will include all of the options and the price that were quoted by the dealer.  You may add a picture of this car if you can find one.
The third page will be specifics on the vehicle that you traded in, including the price that was suggested by Kelley Blue Book or Edmunds.
The fourth page will explain the payment for your new car including the insurance that you will purchase for the car and the monthly breakdown for both payments.
The fifth page will be economy information on your car such as mileage in city and open roads.  Also included on this page will be a safety rating for your trade-in vehicle and the new car that you are purchasing.  You must provide two examples of cars that have the safest rating and two that have the poorest ratings.  Give a brief explanation on why two cars you chose have a poor rating.  Also on this page, you are to explain the "Lemon Law" and provide information on this law that protects consumers.
The sixth page will be dedicated to scams.  You are to search the resources to find 4 dealer scams and 4 insurance scams that you should be aware of when purchasing a car and insurance.
The seventh and final page will consist of a detailed explanation on how to jump start your car.  You can also find this information in the resources provided for you.  Lastly, you must give credit for information that you borrowed from a source.  Always give credit where credit is due!!

FAQ’s – Frequently Asked Questions
1.  Must I use the recommended resources to complete this assignment?
You may use any web resources that you would like to use.  Just keep in mind that the sites that you choose must be within the guidelines.
2.  Do I have to credit my resources?
Yes you must!!  It is very important to give credit where credit is due….Make sure you copy and paste the web sites address of all sites that you use on the last page of your assignment.  This includes any pictures or text that you borrowed from another source.
3.  Can I use a digital camera or scanner for parts of my project?
You most certainly can!!  Use anything that you want to put pictures in your project.  The more creative you are, the better your grade will be.

Oh this is an easy one. Take the most expensive car your family owns for trade in. Look up the kelly blue book price online. This can be a jumping off point. Then go to somewhere like vehix.cm and look for the kind of car you like in a reasonable price range (like $169 a month) then go to like progressive and get a free rate quote. The hardest part is making the numbers fit, but I guess the point of the paper is to simulate real life.

when is my project due?

Overpopulation

Overpopulation is one of the fastest growing problems facing the United States today. It has taken root in almost every possible background and setting in America. An analysis of Overpopulation will show that several issues facing the United States such as; global warming, national debt, unemployment and teen pregnancy are directly related to overpopulation.

By now most people by now have heard about global warming and the various threats it poses to the world and that the main cause of climate change is humans. Well if this is true then you would have to acknowledge that the growing population would then be the main cause of global warming. If there are more people in the world today than there was in 1999 then obviously the effects of global warming would be worse now because there are more people to produce the harmful gases that are said to help cause climate change. In addition, more people need more resources that also have a negative
effect on the environment such as the need for trees, which reduces the number of trees converting C02 into oxygen. An additional problem is the need for vehicle transportation, and when the vehicles burn off fuel it causes pollution which also contributes to climate change. One more problem that ties climate change in with the another main problem that
our country faces is food consumption. People need to eat food in order to survive, so no matter what your income is or what your status is whether you are rich or poor if you wish to live you need to eat food and agriculture contributes to global warming because many farm animals such as cattle, buffalo, sheep, goats, and camels produce methane through their manure, which is another type of greenhouse gas, or gas in an atmosphere that absorb and emit radiation within the thermal infrared range, that harms the environment. Americans consume more meat/animal products per capita than any other country (FAO) even though America is only the third most populous country.

Although food is not the only thing that the United States, which has an estimated total population of around 307 million people, consumes the most of. Currently the United States accounts for only about 5% of the world’s total population of 6.8 billion people(U.S. Census Bureau) but we consume more energy than any other country by using about 25% of the world’s primary energy while producing only 16% of the energy we use. This results in a poor economy because we are forced to import more goods than we produce creating an unfavorable balance of trade for our economy, which then causes the U.S. to go into national debt because of our massive trade deficit with the rest of the world. And this continues on like the domino effect causing stress on everyone because when the economy is bad it means just about everyone suffers in some way from it. If there were less people the wealth could be distributed more evenly among people, there would me more food for others, more space for people to live, and most of all there would be enough jobs.

Now although a decreased population wouldn’t necessarily create more jobs it would provide enough jobs for people. A smaller population would mean that there wouldn’t be as many un-employed people that actually need and want jobs. Then not as many people will need to rely on unemployment benefits, or welfare checks in order to pay their bills that way the government can focus the tax money it saves on those programs on other issues affecting the economy. Instead it just causes more and more money to be wasted that could be used to help our economy recover or at least start to recover. A smaller population would also help lower the crime rate somewhat, I’m not saying that everyone that commits crimes does it because they don’t have a job or that all criminals don’t have jobs but sometimes when people don’t see feasible options to solve their financial woes they either turn to the government for assistance or to crime or illegal ways of making money like robbing a bank or convenience store, selling drugs, prostitution, or even different types of fraud. All of these things just lead to desperate people ending up in jail or prison because they couldn’t get a job to support themselves or in some cases their family and when that happens, it just recycles into the same old story of more people in need of assistance from the government so we need to break the cycle in order to restore our economy by somehow slowing down the growth rate.

One way that we could accomplish this is by reducing teen pregnancy and unintentional pregnancies. It has become a popular trend for teens to have children at extremely early ages when they can barely take care of themselves. The biggest problem with this is that it creates an imbalance because teens are having babies five to ten years before they normally would, and it creates a build up because the

Trading Resources – How the Bankers turned Bailouts into Billions…

Posted by admin

It isn’t often that the ‘little guy’ or Main Street gets an opportunity to take a swing at Wall Street, but that’s exactly what is about to happen in this trading resources stock trading investing story.

Let me tell you a quick Trading Resources stock trading story:

You already know the governments spent billions bailing out the banking industry in 2008 and 2009…

…but how is it possible that those same institutions were able to turn themselves around SO FAST, that they paid back those “TARP” funds AND celebrated billions of dollars in profit?

In just one year?

Last I checked, unemployment was still at all time highs;consumer spending was still at all time lows; home foreclosures were still at record levels…

Where did the Big Banks manage to ‘bank profit’?

From you.

Now, published author and stock trading veteran Guy Cohen has stood up and said, “Enough!”

In a very special stock trading investing report, Guy is going to show the world how
the Big Banks and Wall St. are LEGALLY ALLOWED to manipulate the markets (and you can’t do anything to stop them).

He’s also going to share with you:

- Proof that SOMEONE knew that Bear Stearns was about to collapse TWO WEEKS before it happened (Wouldn’t you like to to have this kind of ‘inside’ information?)

(part 2)

- Information you are LEGALLY ENTITLED to have — but the Big Banks and Wall St. are INTENTIONALLY hiding it from you.

(Part 5)

Then, Guy is going to show you how you can use a unique tool to ’spy’ on the ’smart’ money and how that tool can accurately predict where the ‘hidden’ money is moving in the stock markets.

If you’re tired of being taken advantage of by the Big Banks and Wall Street, here’s your one chance to get ALL the information you need to fight back.

Good Trading,

do you know what your corporate zodiac is?

Posted by admin

astrology tells us about people and their future by their time, date and location of birth. the Chinese zodiac uses the year of a persons birth.
demographics tells us what others like, dislike. who they voted for, as well as what they buy and what they watch on television. the corporate zodiac goes a step further: simply by an individuals job title, people can pretty much learn about an employees hidden personality traits

MARKETING
you are ambitious, yet stupid. you chose a marketing degree to avoid having to actually study in university, concentrating instead on drinking and socializing-which is pretty much what your job responsibilities are now. least compatible with sales

SALES
laziest of all the corporate signs, often referred to as a ‘marketer without a degree’. you are also self centered and paranoid. unless someone calls you and begs you to take their money, you like to avoid all contact with customers so you can ‘concentrate on the big picture’. you seek admiration for your golf game, clothes, car and sex appeal throughout your career

CUSTOMER SERVICE
Bright, cheery and positive, you are a 50 cent taxi ride from taking your own life. As a child very few of you asked your parents for a little cubicle for your room and a headset so you could pretend to play ‘customer service’. Continually passed over for promotions, your best bet is to sleep with your manager

TECHNOLOGY
Unable to control anything in your personal life, you are instead content to completely control everything that happens at your workplace
Typically you went to trade school because you didn’t have time for all that ‘crap’ required in university. Often, even you don’t understand what the hell you’re saying. But no one else except the engineers knows anyway. It is written that the geeks shall inherit the earth, but the senior managers keep contesting the will

ENGINEERING
One of only signs that actually studied in school, it is said that 60% of all people on the Internet are either engineers, or wish they were. You can be happy with yourself and the latest technology in you field. Your office is typically full of the latest gadgets, catalogues and half finished spec sheets

ACCOUNTING
The only other sign that studied in school, you are mostly immune from office politics. You are the most feared person in the organization; combined with your extreme organizational traits, the majority of your co-workers are convinced that you are completely without feeling or emotion. You are often caught in the bathroom, practicing your frown in the mirror

HUMAN RESOURCES
Ironically, given your access to confidential information, you tend to be the biggest gossip in the company. Possibly the only other person that does less work than marketing, you are unable to return any calls today because you have to get a haircut, have lunch, and mail a letter! Your favorite expression is ‘now don’t say anything but…’

MID LEVEL MANAGERS/DEPARTMENT HEADS/TEAM LEADERS
Cut throat and ambitious, but you are destined to remain in your current job forever unless a senior manager dies or retires. You measure your worth by the number of meetings you can schedule for yourself and the number of subordinates you sleep with. Best suited to marry other middle managers, as everyone in your social circle must be at least a middle manager for appearance sake

SENIOR MANAGERS
You enjoy appearing to be the ultimate authority figure but actually, you are completely spineless, and determined to remain in your current job for the rest of your life, unless the head of your organization dies or retires. Unable to make a single decision, you pretend to measure your worth by the number of mid level managers you can harass on any given day and ensure that your office is the largest in the building. best suited to date/marry other senior managers, as everyone in your social circle is a senior manager; besides, no one else would have you anyway

hella funny but fearfully very true!!!!

Will cap and trade work?

Posted by admin

Has everyone has been asking all the wrong questions?

By now we all are feeling the effects of an economy in crisis! Since WWII the American population has maintained a materials economy. Consumption is the bloodline that fuels our current economy. Extracting, manufacturing, and distributing goods provide jobs, while consumers keep cycle moving.

Disposal also provides jobs. Unfortunately, we are running out of places to dump our trash. Landfills are filling and the great pacific garbage patch really shouldn’t be an option. The faster we pollute our earth, the better the economy does. This realization has brought forth the revelation for a “green awakening”.

Is climate change a problem? Or is that a really dumb question? When producing goods we extract, manufacture, and pollute through the entire process. Pollution releases harmful toxins into the atmosphere. The atmosphere allows us to survive (simply put). When the United States declared itself a developed country and did not want to deal with the pollution we sent it to developing China and India (along with low paying jobs, and cheaper standards of living). It wasn’t going to solve the problem, just delay it. However, we all belong to the same planet and with jet streams and wind currents soon there problem will be everyone’s problem. For years the problem has existed and delayed and we now face a time of great economic, social, and cultural change. With projections of countries underwater in five years from melting glaciers, to overfishing causing tuna to be extinct in 20 years the only way to sustain human development is unity through non-anarchic international regulations and more than a few great ideas. Every action has a reaction and the human footprint on this plant is so significant that we are in danger of upsetting a very delicate balance.

With these realizations in mind the Copenhagen convention was created. The masterminds behind Enron and mortgage backed securities created the idea of Cap and Trade. Although this is a strong first step in the right direction, it also leaves room for corruption and human greed. Cap and Trade is the idea that companies will be given licenses to pollute. Those companies that move towards more environmentally friendly energy alternatives will have extra licenses that they can sell to other companies. The idea is to award less licenses every year until we dramatically reduce our greenhouse gasses. Thus each year the licenses will become exceedingly more valuable. Some people such as Al Gore are capitalizing on this and are acting as license brokers.

Companies such as Goldman Sachs owns 10% stake in the exchange of cap and trade deals and pays no federal taxes, which forces taxes to fall back on citizens. People are finding ways to exploit the economic climate crisis and generate billions.
Others who have built there industries on natural resources such as oil foresee there future turning towards unemployment. These already extremely wealthy companies have significant influence in our current government system. This has brought forth the climate gate scandal where corruption is telling the news that climate change is not a problem. It is a problem. The first step is admitting we have a problem and the next is to find a way to solve this problem. Will Cap and Trade work? Will it create steady jobs, or simply temporary ones? Any other ideas? Globalize, socialize, merge government and private sector, currency change, revolution…anything?

It will reduce carbon emissions and encourage the growth of green technologies. That is all it is intended to do.

Allowing the rest of the energy industry do become more competitive with fossil fuels will create economic growth and jobs

Those who are complaining about cap and trade would complain about anything the Obama administration brings up. They just like to complain.

Republicans should just get out of the way and let us fix this mess they put us in.
